Member groups of the Beaumont Council of Garden Clubs will host a ribbon cutting at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2008, to formally open the new Garden Center Building. An Open House from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. will follow introducing the new building to the public. Participating member clubs will have membership information available, and individual members will be present in various locations to answer questions.

Members were notified at the May meeting that GTAS could have an informational table at the Grand Opening: let Jana Whittle know if you can bring cookies, preferable homemade, & how many. Each club has been asked to bring 12 dozen on Saturday morning May 17, 2008, to the Garden Center building. Also bring some of your enlargements, sample newsletters, anything so our visitors will know about us. We will set up our table & get instruction for Sunday the 18th: when to arrive, what is expected, etc.
